Tamarind Kernel Powder (TKP), also called Tamarind Seed Gum or Tamarind Seed Polysaccharide (TSP), is a natural polysaccharide extracted from the endosperm of tamarind seeds (Tamarindus indica). It is made up of glucose, xylose, and galactose in a 3:2:1 ratio, with a high molecular weight and branched structure. Palnt based from carob tree seeds;a galactomannan similar to guar but with a higher mannose:galctose ratio ( 3.5:1 ),resulting in less solubility.

Advantages: Works synergistically with other gels.
Disadvantages: Poor cold-water solubility, higher cost, limited industrial use.
